据了解，瑞海矿业海域金矿海岳一号、二号两台TBM的研发、引进和同步发车，是全球黄金矿山千米深井首创应用。该装备和工艺不仅破解了海域金矿面临的深海深井工程施工面对的高温、高湿、高卤等行业性难题，并且填补了国内深埋金属矿山TBM采掘工程技术空白，是黄金矿业发展重要的里程碑事件，将助推黄金矿山采掘加速迈向自动化、无人化、智能化时代。
