Sector Update: Consumer Stocks Steady Premarket Friday

Consumer shares were steady pre-bell Friday with the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLP) and the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLY) flat recently.

Nu Skin Enterprises (NUS) shares jumped 19% after saying that its Rhyz unit sold its Mavely marketing technology platform to Later, a portfolio company of Summit Partners, for $250 million.

Rivian Automotive (RIVN) said Friday it manufactured 12,727 vehicles in Q4 at its production site in Normal, Illinois. The company delivered 14,183 vehicles for the quarter ended Dec. 31. Rivian shares were up nearly 6%.

BJ's Restaurants (BJRI) said Thursday it signed a cooperation agreement with Act III and various affiliates of Ronald Shaich. The company's shares slid 1.6% pre-bell Friday.
