The Securities Investors Association (Singapore) has called for an independent probe into Singapore Post's (SGX:S08) dismissal of three senior executives over alleged data falsification in its e-commerce logistics unit, The Straits Times reported Thursday.
Group CEO Vincent Phang, CFO Vincent Yik, and international business CEO Li Yu were fired on Dec. 21 following an internal investigation into a whistle-blower report. The executives have denied wrongdoing, claiming unfair dismissal.
The Securities Investors Association President David Gerald said the abrupt firings and conflicting accounts raise critical concerns for shareholders and called for transparency to rebuild trust.
