据内媒引述中国商飞行销中心副总经理杨洋表示，公司目标最早今年获得欧洲认证，到2026年让C919客机在东南亚执飞。杨洋还希望内地让更多C919飞机投入营运，在把C919带到东南亚之前，彻底查明任何潜在问题。
去年2月，中国商飞ARJ21和C919飞机亮相新加坡航展，同月开展东南亚演示飞行。同年10月，印尼翎亚航空(TransNusa)采用中国商飞ARJ21开通美娜多-广州航线，为海外航司首次使用国产飞机执行往返内地的国际航班，翎亚航空还在考虑试飞C919客机。
