Indian telecom services provider Bharti Airtel (NSE:BHARTIARTL, BOM:532454) has agreed to acquire a 26% stake in renewable energy company AMP Energy Green Three for 378.9 million Indian rupees, according to a Thursday filing to the stock exchanges.
AMP Energy Green Three is a special purpose vehicle formed to own and operate a captive 50 MW hybrid wind solar power plant at Barmer in Rajasthan, India, which will become operational by the second quarter of financial year 2025-26.
The completion of the transaction is subject to AMP Energy Green Three obtaining all necessary consents and licenses from the regulatory body for open access for captive power consumption.
