1月2日，中国太平官方微信发布消息称，近日，中国太平在香港成功发行了亚洲首支采用双风险、双触发机制的巨灾债券，是中国太平进入ILS（保险相连证券）市场的重要一步。
中国太平旗下太平再保险作为本次巨灾债券发起人，通过特殊目的保险公司Silk Road Re（丝路再保险）发行以中国地震和美国飓风为标的风险的巨灾债券，募集资金3500万美元，期限三年，分别以参数、行业损失指数为赔偿触发机制，为标的风险提供全额抵押保险保障。该巨灾债券采用的双风险、双触发机制设计，符合国际资本市场偏好，促进本地区保险市场与国际资本市场的互联互通。
巨灾债券作为一种新型风险管理工具，将巨灾保险风险通过证券化转移至资本市场，有助于提高保险市场对巨灾风险的承保能力，形成多层次的巨灾风险分担机制。巨灾债券与传统金融工具的相关性较低，也为资本市场投资者提供了分散风险的投资选择。
据介绍，太平再保险是中国太平旗下专业再保险子公司，业务范围遍布全球五大洲约100个国家和地区，服务客户超过1000家。
