The toll revenue of a majority of Yuexiu Transport Infrastructure's (HKG:1052) expressways dropped year on year for the month of October 2024, mainly due to a decrease in toll traffic volume for most of the company-operated expressways during the reporting month, a Thursday Hong Kong bourse filing said.

Among the company's expressways, the GNSR Expressway posted the highest toll revenue of 81.9 million yuan with an average daily toll traffic volume of 263,389. The expressway recorded a year-on-year increase in toll traffic volume, mainly attributable to a growth in traffic volume of short-distance small passenger vehicles.

Han'e Expressway recorded the biggest year-on-year jump in toll revenue, increasing by 97.9% compared with a year ago, attributable to the closure of Wuhuang Expressway, its competitor, for certain construction works, and higher toll revenue from diverted trucks.

The biggest drop was recorded for Daguangnan Expressway, dropping 16.4% from October 2023 to 29.6 million yuan in October 2024, also attributed to the closure of Wuhuang Expressway by the company.

All of the company's expressways' toll revenue dropped on month on month basis as well.
