The Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore approved the proposed acquisition of ZT Group International by NASDAQ-listed technology company, Advanced Micro Devices, according to a release on Monday.
According to the Singaporean competition watchdog's assessment, the proposed transaction does not infringe the commission's section 54 guidelines about mergers that could potentially lessen competition in the local market.
In 2024, Advanced Micro Devices had agreed to buy ZT Systems in a cash and stock deal worth $4.9 billion.
ZT is an original design manufacturer of server and storage solutions for data centers.
