BUZZ-Nine Entertainment hits over 3-mth high; AFR reports ex-Foxtel exec to join

** Shares of Australia's Nine Entertainment NEC.AX rise as much as 5.2% to A$1.32

** Stock set to hit its highest level since late Sept, 2024

** The Australian Financial Review $(AFR.AU)$, a masthead that Nine publishes, reports that former News Corp NWSA.O-owned Foxtel executive Amanda Laing is set to be appointed to a role for broadcast operations at NEC

** Laing’s appointment would mark her return to the media giant where she was managing director until 2017 - AFR

** NEC gained as much as 2.4% on Monday after Tanarra Capital, run by fund manager John Wylie, took an undisclosed stake in Nine according to an AFR report

** NEC dropped 38.9% in 2024
