PC makers spruik half-price AI laptops at year’s biggest trade show

Laptops designed to run artificial intelligence apps may not have been a hit with consumers in 2024, but that has not stopped the PC industry from doubling down on AI computers for 2025.

At the annual CES consumer electronics show in Las Vegas, Nvidia, Qualcomm, AMD, Dell, Acer and others all launched chips, PC graphics cards and laptops that they say will drive down the cost of running AI models on everyday laptops this year, while increasing the performance.
