0701 GMT - Nordic markets are seen opening slightly lower, with IG calling the OMXS30 down 0.4% at around 2501. As usual, world stock exchanges have had different opening hours at the start of the new year, but in the U.S., the direction in the first few days has been upward, SEB analysts say in a note. Rumors that fewer products will face tariffs from the incoming Trump administration lifted stock prices yesterday in both the U.S. and Europe, SEB adds. In Asia this morning, most stock markets are following the U.S. higher. The OMXS30 closed at 2511.42, OMXN40 at 2507.82 and OBX at 1365.83. (dominic.chopping@wsj.com)
