财政司司长陈茂波出席电台节目就新一份《财政预算案》咨询公众，他称，目标三数年内恢复财政平衡，而本年度财政赤字较原先预期为高，达到1,000亿元以下。因此，政府需要进一步审视财政整合计划，会以节流为主，控制政府经常开支增长。同时，政府亦在研究增加收入，原则是能者多付，但会减少对一般市民的影响。
他又提到，绝对不同意未来楼市一定跌，认为现时楼市正进入调整期。不过，政府亦不会减少房屋供应的力度，亦不会考虑重设勾地模式以及为地产商提供回赠优惠，认为勾地模式会令政府失去主动权。
至于有关“二元乘车优惠”方面，有意见认为港铁(00066.HK) 或巴士公司应承担社会责任，只收取一半车费，减低来自政府的补贴，陈茂波回应指有需要考虑对票价的影响。(mn/w)(港股报价延迟最少十五分钟。沽空资料截至 2025-01-03 16:25。)
