Sonder has tapped Janice Sears, its lead independent director, to be chairperson of the board.
The hotel-and-apartment rental company said Monday that Sears is taking the helm. Co-founder and Chief Executive Francis Davidson was previously serving as chairman, according to the company's website.
The company also said that Erin Wallace, a former senior executive of the theme parks and resorts business of Walt Disney, is joining the board.
Wallace succeeds Nabeel Hyatt, who had served as a director from 2016 until Dec. 31.
"Nabeel saw our vision for Sonder from the very beginning and his early investment in our company has been a foundational part of our growth story," Davidson said in a statement.
