Southwest, Other US Carriers Cancel Flights Due to Storm Blair, FlightAware Data Show

Southwest Airlines (LUV), American Airlines (AAL) and United Airlines (UAL) were among the US carriers that canceled flights early Monday due to Storm Blair, FlightAware data showed.

As of 8 am ET Monday, 1,446 flights within, into, or out of the US have been canceled while nearly 800 flights were delayed, according to FlightAware.

Southwest canceled 362 flights, American Airlines Group (AAL) had 176 canceled flights while United and Delta Air Lines (DAL) canceled 78 and 39 flights, respectively, FlightAware said.

Southwest, American Airlines, United, and Delta also issued travel advisories warning clients that services may be disrupted due to the storm.

Southwest and American Airlines did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
