1月5日，知名投资人段永平在母校浙江大学与师生交流。谈及拼多多，段永平表示，尽管市场上对于拼多多的质疑声不断，但他认为拼多多的用户增长和商业成功不容忽视。
“很多人跟我讲拼多多的问题。我说，人家的用户越来越多，那么多人喜欢用，你非说它不对，这到底是什么意思？”他反问道。
段永平透露，拼多多创始人黄峥在创业初期就展现出对农业的关心和对基础设施建设的重视。在创立拼好货时，黄峥的初心就是帮助农产品流通，这一理念也延续到了拼多多的业务中。
2015年，黄峥向段永平推介拼多多项目时，表示平台用户增长迅速，供应商也受益颇丰，尤其是农产品销售方面成绩显著。段永平被黄峥的愿景和执行力打动，决定投资拼多多，并将其视为一件“做好事”的公益项目。
段永平表示，自己对拼多多的具体业务并不深入了解，但信任黄峥的判断和执行能力。他指出，拼多多的营业额和用户量等数据持续增长，证明了其商业模式的成功。
对于市场上对拼多多的批评，段永平认为有些声音可能是基于偏见或不了解实际情况。他呼吁人们以更加开放和包容的心态看待拼多多的发展。
