智通财经APP获悉，媒体援引知情人士透露的消息报道，欧洲银行业巨头德意志银行(DB.US)将从阿联酋最大规模银行手中收购价值大约8亿美元的不良贷款组合，这是富饶的海湾地区罕见的大型不良债务交易。
据知情人士透露，这家德国商业银行在竞购阿布扎比第一银行的不良贷款资产组合时，出价高于包括美国对冲基金在内的其他国际市场竞购者。由于信息尚未公开，这些知情人士要求匿名。知情人士透露，目前尚不清楚德意志银行将为这笔贷款账目支付多少资金。
媒体披露该消息之后，德意志银行拒绝置评，而阿布扎比第一银行则未立即作出回应。
大型商业银行经常出售有各种问题的不良贷款，以释放资源并支撑其资产负债表。近年来，阿布扎比第一银行是该联合酋长国第二家出售并转移大量不良贷款资产的大型商业银行。其竞争对手之一的阿布扎比商业银行PJSC在2023年向Davidson Kempner出售了价值高达11亿美元的不良债务，这被视为一项具有里程碑意义的不良贷款交易，为该地区的类似商业银行交易铺平了道路。
