Standard Chartered (HKG:2888) will issue $1.00 billion in fixed-rate resetting perpetual subordinated contingent convertible securities on Jan. 16, according to a Wednesday filing with the Hong Kong Exchange.
The British lender will apply for the listing of the securities in London and Hong Kong, the filing said.
Standard Chartered Bank will be the structuring adviser for the securities while the joint bookrunners and joint lead managers include Barclays Capital, Goldman Sachs & Co., J.P. Morgan Securities, SG Americas Securities, Standard Chartered Bank, and UBS Securities.
Jefferies is also a joint lead manager of the issuance of securities.
Stanchart shares were down over 1% in recent trade.
