ABC-Mart (TYO:2670) reported an 11% increase in all-store sales in December 2024 compared with the year ago, according to a Tuesday filing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
Sales at existing stores grew by 10.9% year on year, the filing said.
Customer numbers and sales were strong due to Christmas gift demand and year-end sales. Boots and down coats, in particular, performed well.
All-store sales per customer rose 5.6% for the month, while the number of customers saw an increase of 5.1%.
The company's store count reached 1,093 with the closing of one store and the opening of two.
