Odaily星球日报讯 BIT Mining 通过一项价值 1400 万美元的交易在埃塞俄比亚获得了 51 兆瓦电力设施和近 18,000 台比特币矿机。由于埃塞俄比亚的电力成本比美国低约 70%，该公司得以将美国淘汰的旧矿机转移至当地使用，从而延长矿机寿命约两年。 据悉，埃塞俄比亚丰富的水电资源（部分来自中国资助的项目，如大埃塞俄比亚复兴大坝）和政府对比特币挖矿的支持，为 BIT Mining 提供了独特的机会。目前，埃塞俄比亚贡献了比特币网络 1.5%的算力，与挪威相当。尽管面临社会动荡，BIT Mining 选择购买现有设施而非新建，以降低潜在风险。（CoinDesk）
