Jefferies Lifts Dividend by 14%

Jefferies Financial Group raised its quarterly dividend by 5 cents, or 14%, to 40 cents a share.

The investment bank said Wednesday the new dividend is payable on Feb. 27 to shareholders of record as of Feb. 14.

On an annualized basis, the new payout is $1.60 a share and represents a yield of about 2% based on Wednesday's closing price of $80.13.

Jefferies last raised its dividend in June, pushing the payout up by 5 cents to 35 cents a share.
