智通财经APP获悉，美国基因编辑公司Intellia Therapeutics(NTLA.US)表示，计划将其资源集中在开发候选药物NTLA-2002和nex-z上，并停止NTLA-3001的开发，这将导致公司裁员约27%。
据悉，NTLA-2002用于治疗遗传性血管性水肿，nex-z用于治疗ATTR淀粉样变性，NTLA-3001被开发用于治疗α -1抗胰蛋白酶缺乏相关的肺部疾病。除了NTLA-3001外，该公司还将停止某些研究阶段的项目。
Intellia Therapeutics表示，该公司认为NTLA-2002和nex-z具有“创造重大短期价值的最大机会”。该公司补充称，预计2025年第一季度与重组相关的费用约为800万美元。
根据一份声明，Intellia Therapeutics在2024年底拥有约8.62亿美元的现金、现金等价物及投资，应该能够为直到2027年上半年的运营提供资金。
Intellia Therapeutics还宣布，其首席科学官Laura Sepp-Lorenzino即将退休。在今年余下的时间里，她将继续担任公司的高级科学顾问。该公司免疫学和细胞治疗主管Birgit Schultes将于1月13日起担任首席运营官。此外，该公司补充称，计划在2025年下半年之前完成其商业领导团队的建设。
