0943 GMT - Singapore's FTSE Straits Times Index fell 1.6% to 3801.56, mirroring declines in U.S. futures. The widespread losses in U.S. equity futures may have dampened investor sentiment and reduced risk appetite for Asia as markets await the release of U.S. jobs data later today, IG market strategist Yeap Jun Rong writes in a note. Among the biggest decliners on the benchmark index, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding and Sembcorp Industries both dropped 3.5%, while Keppel fell 2.6%. (kimberley.kao@wsj.com)
