消息称，软银集团及其控股子公司Arm正在探讨收购Ampere Computing的可能。

知情人士称，Ampere在探索战略选择的同时，也引起了Arm的收购兴趣。当然，双方谈判仍有可能破裂，而且Ampere也有可能最终被另一家追求者收购。

Arm和Ampere的代表拒绝置评。软银和甲骨文的发言人没有立即回应置评请求。

Ampere创始人兼首席执行官Renee James曾是英特尔的一名高管，她曾考虑让Ampere上市。该公司在2022年4月表示，在芯片需求激增之际，它已秘密提交了在美国进行首次公开募股的申请。

彭博社去年9月份报道称，Ampere一直在与一家财务顾问合作，以帮助应对收购意向。

Ampere的早期支持者还包括凯雷投资集团，收购Ampere的交易将进一步推动芯片公司利用人工智能支出热潮的浪潮。

甲骨文去年表示它拥有这家初创公司29%的股份，并且可以行使未来的投资选择权，从而获得对这家芯片制造商的控制权。
