国泰航空(00293.HK) 由尼泊尔加德满都飞抵本港的航班，于本周内连续两日出现怀疑集体食物中毒事件，感到不适的乘客均曾于上机前进食，以及于机上进食飞机餐。
国泰航空发言人就事件回应指，确认1月7及8日由加德满都前往香港的“CX640”航班，发生怀疑食物中毒个案。据现阶段调查所知，受污染食物相信并非来自国泰。若最终调查结果显示国泰处理食物程序出现问题，公司将公开透明地向公众交代，并采取纠正措施，慎防类似事件再次发生。另外，国泰亦已提醒机组人员、呼吁乘客遵守食物安全指引。
发言人亦指，国泰将继续与当局保持紧密沟通，配合相关调查工作，并为受影响乘客提供所需协助。(js/k)
