Infosys (INFY) filed a counterclaim against Cognizant Technology Solutions (CTSH) in a US court, accusing the company and its Chief Executive Officer Ravi Kumar of anticompetitive tactics, media outlets reported Friday, citing the lawsuit.

Cognizant was alleged to have misused sensitive information to hinder the growth of Infosys' health-care platform and poached key executives, the counterclaim in a Texas federal court said, according to the reports.

Cognizant subsidiary TriZetto had accused Infosys of stealing trade secrets.

Infosys is seeking a jury trial and asking the court to invalidate Cognizant's nondisclosure agreements and award damages, the reports said.

Infosys and Cognizant didn't immediately respond to requests for comments from MT Newswires.

Infosys shares were little changed in recent Friday trading, and Cognizant fell 0.6%
