Health care stocks were mixed pre-bell Monday as the Health Care Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLV) was up 0.2% and the iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) declined by 0.4% recently.
Moderna (MRNA) shares fell by over 17% after the company said it now expects 2025 revenue to be between $1.5 billion and $2.5 billion, down from the previous range of $2.5 billion to $3.5 billion.
Intra-Cellular Therapies (ITCI) shares rallied by over 34% amid a deal for Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) to acquire the company for $132 per Intra-Cellular Therapies share in cash, for a total equity value of about $14.6 billion.
Option Care Health (OPCH) shares rose by over 14% after the company said it expects to report Q4 adjusted earnings per diluted share of $0.42 to $0.45 and up to a 20% increase in net revenue to between $1.34 billion and $1.35 billion.
