DUBLIN, Jan 13 (Reuters) - Some aircraft lessors are looking at self-insurance to escape from major inflation in insurance rates that has followed the war in Ukraine and recent accidents, the executive chairman of Air Lease Corp said on Monday.
"I expect that all rates will go up. Liability rates will go up. And some lessors are looking at self insurance, where you set aside a certain fund for unexpected events," Steven Udvar-Hazy told the Airline Economics conference.
Air Lease is one of the five largest global aircraft lessors.
