ST Engineering (SGX:S63), National Trades Union Congress and SkillsFuture Singapore signed an agreement to integrate NTUC's partnership with SkillsFuture Queen Bee Program, according to a company release on Monday.
Through the partnership, ST Engineering Land Systems will become a SkillsFuture Queen Bee, and will be provided support for its SME suppliers and workers.
The two-year partnership comes on the back of projections of strong growth in the global semiconductor business which requires upskilling the current workforce.
As part of the agreement, ST Engineering will train workers at 40 suppliers from its Land Systems business.
A skills manager will also be appointed to evaluate the training needs of suppliers.
