Meridian Energy's (NZE:MEL) retail sales volume rose 2.6% year on year in December 2024, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian and New Zealand bourses.
By segment, sales went up 1% in small-medium businesses, 6.5% in agricultural, 8.4% in large businesses, and 1.2% in corporate. Residential sales fell 0.5%.
National electricity demand dropped 3.2%. Total inflows reached 97% of the historical average in December.
In the month to Jan. 13, national hydro storage decreased from 134% to 114% of the historical average.
