S&W Seed said Monday its board is commencing a process to explore strategic alternatives for the company, which may include a sale or merger.
The company also said potential opportunities may include a recapitalization, as well as continuation of its long-term business plan.
Alan Willits, the company's chairman, said S&W is continuing to execute its long-term plan, and will consider a full range of potential strategic alternatives to ensure the company is best positioned for future success.
Rabobank Securities is acting as financial adviser to the board's special committee, and Cooley LLP is legal counsel, S&W said.
