G50 (ASX:G50) started drilling at the White Caps gold project in Nevada, the first angled reverse circulation drilling program at the site, testing several targets along mineralized carbonate host rocks, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.

The drilling will test near-surface portions of the Cambrian Gold Hill-White Caps stratigraphic unit, which hosts the ores mined at the historic White Caps mine, the filing said.

Shares fell more than 3% in afternoon trade Tuesday.
