Arrow Minerals (ASX:AMD) said metallurgical test work at its Simandou North iron project in Guinea delivered high-grade, low-alumina iron ore product, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The company said the test works were used to simulate three potential process flowsheets. The flowsheets delivered iron ore product of over 66% iron with under 0.5% aluminum oxide across all three flowsheet options.
The results provided a preferred flowsheet, which will be further assessed as part of a process plant scoping study, per the filing. Further works will be scoped to gather information for the scoping study capital and operating costs for the process plant.
The firm's shares fell nearly 3% in recent trading on Wednesday.
