Yandal Resources (ASX:YRL) received all assay results from the 2024 follow-up reverse circulation program at the Siona Gold discovery in Western Australia, covering an area of 2,900 meters, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.
The results show mineralization continuity along over 450 meters of strike, aligned with the granodiorite-basalt contact, with results yielding up to 18 meters at 0.7 grams per tonne grade of gold from 141 meters, the filing said.
Multiple mineralized zones are found more than 100 meters into the footwall of the granodiorite-basalt contact, suggesting Siona is part of a complex and large-scale mineralized system.
Drilling has begun in New England Granite, focusing on structural targets near the Siona discovery, with the first results expected next month, per the filing.
Shares plummeted 17% in midday trade Monday.
