Financial stocks advanced pre-bell Wednesday as the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) rose by 2.2% recently.
The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) was up 6.3% and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) was 6.4% lower.
Wells Fargo (WFC) shares rose past 4% after the company reported an increase in Q4 earnings.
Goldman Sachs (GS) shares were up over 4% after the company reported higher Q4 earnings and total net revenue.
BlackRock (BLK) shares advanced by more than 5% after the company reported higher Q4 adjusted earnings and revenue.
