Ordell Minerals (ASX:ORD) said assay results from a shallow diamond drilling program of 426 meters at its Barimaia gold project in Western Australia confirmed high-grade gold mineralization, according to an Australian bourse filing Tuesday.
The diamond drilling program was completed in November and December 2024.
The assays returned results of 22.7 meters at 4.1 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold from a depth of 71.3 meters and 22.8 meters at 1.8 g/t of gold from a depth of 62.2 meters.
The diamond drilling completed at the McNabs East prospect will be used to target extensional and in-fill reverse circulation drilling at the project at about 5,000 meters, starting in February.
The company will also conduct air-core drilling further to the east and the north of the currently defined mineralization at the McNabs prospect.
The firm's shares dropped nearly 11% in recent Tuesday trade.
