Guolian Securities (HKG:1456. SHA:601456) wants to change its name to Guolian Minsheng Securities since it will better reflect on the company, according to a Monday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.
The company also said it wanted to change its stock exchange short name from Guolian Sec to Guolian Minsheng Sec, the filing added.
The changes must be approved in the company's general meeting and subject to regulatory approvals afterward.
The company's share prices were up by 5% in recent trading.
