Yancoal Australia (HKG:3668) said David James Moult resigned as chief executive officer to focus on his other business engagements.
While Moult's employment will end on July 14, his active duties will cease today, Jan. 14.
As a result, the miner named Ning Yue acting CEO, effective immediately. Yue, chair of the executive committee, has over 20 years of experience in coal mining operations and management.
He will stay as the acting CEO until Yancoal makes a permanent appointment, a Tuesday filing with the Hong Kong Exchange stated.
