PT Aneka Tambang (ASX:ATM) entered into a land transaction agreement with the Java Integrated Industrial and Ports Estate (JIIPE) in Gresik, Indonesia, on Dec. 27, 2024, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The diversified miner selected JIIPE as a development location based on its "strategic location, proximity to raw materials, and high-security guarantees," the filing added citing the firm's business development director, I Dewa Wirantaya.
The presence of the PT Freeport Indonesia smelter in JIIPE also provides additional benefits for the firm.
