Advanced Health Intelligence (ASX:AHI) received a US patent for its technology used in assessing disease risks from user-captured images, according to a Jan. 10 filing with the Australian bourse.
The technology enables the analysis of user images to assess risks for metabolic, cardiovascular, and obesity-related diseases, providing users with a comprehensive risk assessment that can guide healthcare professionals in early diagnosis and intervention, the filing said.
The patent covers the process in which digital images, such as body shape and biometric data, are captured and analyzed to identify health risks.
The patent also provides exclusive protection for these methods, preventing third-party replication and reinforcing the company's competitive edge in the rapidly growing health tech sector, the filing said.
The digital health solutions provider plans to extend its patent coverage globally, with a focus on telehealth, population screening, and insurance, per the filing.
