1455 GMT - Assicurazioni Generali could agree on a deal with Natixis before the Italian insurer's investor day at the end of the month, Equita says in a research note. Italian newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore reported that Generali is continuing to work on a partnership under which a new structure would be created to merge the assets of Generali Investments Holding and Natixis Investment managers. This follows reports of early stage talks in November. "In light of the sensitivity of the subject matter involving Italian asset management, it is not surprising that the government may decide to activate the Golden Power procedure, in order to analyze the transaction and decide whether specific limitations are necessary," analyst Andrea Lisi writes.
