American Water Works (AWK) signed a nine-year exclusive contract with Calgon Carbon to provide activated carbon products and services to treat per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS, in drinking water, the companies said Wednesday.
Under the partnership, Calgon will provide granular activated carbon, equipment and reactivation services to more than 50 American Water sites across 10 states.
Terms of the deal weren't disclosed.
