Algonquin Power & Utilities said Chief Financial Officer Darren Myers will leave the company to pursue another opportunity.

Myers joined the generation, transmission and distribution utility in August 2022. He was previously CFO of Loblaw. Algonquin said he will remain CFO through the reporting of fourth-quarter results.

Last week, Algonquin said it completed the sale of its renewable energy business to LS Power, planning to use proceeds to pay down debt and strengthen its balance sheet.
