SilverCrest Metals recovered slightly less gold in the fourth quarter from its Las Chispas operation in Mexico, but sold its inventory at a higher price.
On production:
SilverCrest recovered 13,993 ounces of gold in the three months ended Dec. 31. This is down from 14,100 ounces a year earlier.
The company mined 127,278 metric tons of ore, up from 78,600 tons a year earlier. It milled 113,594 tons, compared with 104,500 tons.
For silver, the company recovered 1.38 million ounces, up from 1.34 million ounces.
On sales:
SilverCrest sold 15,100 ounces of gold in the quarter, down from 16,100 ounces. It sold the ounces at an average realized price of $2,657 an ounce, up from $1,979 an ounce a year earlier.
