Alligator Energy (ASX:AGE) secured a retention lease for the in-situ field recovery trial at the Samphire project in South Australia, including a trial wellfield and pilot uranium extraction plant, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The lease conditions will be incorporated into the Program for Environment Protection and Rehabilitation (PEPR), which will be submitted by the company between January and February, the filing said.
The PEPR approval marks the final stage of the Department for Energy and Mining regulatory process, enabling the construction of the trial infrastructure, per the filing.
Shares rose nearly 3% in morning trade Tuesday.
