Chow Tai Fook Enterprises is said to have contacted advisers for options for Australian energy firm Alinta Energy, Bloomberg News reported Saturday, citing people familiar with the matter.
Among the options include a stake sale, the report said, citing sources.
Alinta Energy said it is looking into cooperation and co-investment opportunities to support growth, including investmetn in renewable energy projects, the report said, citing a spokesperson for the energy firm.
Negotiations are still at the primary stages, according to Bloomberg.
Chow Tai Fook Enterprises is owned by Chow Tai Fook Jewellery (HKG:1929) Executive Chairman Henry Cheng.
The Cheng family, through Chow Tai Fook Capital, also owns New World Development (HKG:0017).
