Financial stocks rose in Monday afternoon trading with the NYSE Financial Index up 0.3% and the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) adding 0.4%.
The Philadelphia Housing Index climbed 1.1%, and the Real Estate Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLRE) gained 0.7%.
Bitcoin (BTC-USD) fell 3% to $92,142, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries was little changed at 4.78%.
In corporate news, Goldman Sachs (GS) is combining its financing, origination, structuring and risk management solution activities in the global banking and markets division. The shares rose 0.2%.
Truist Financial (TFC) said Chief Operating Officer Hugh Cummins III resigned, effective immediately. Truist shares added 0.1%.
Blackstone (BX) is evaluating a sale of Liftoff for over $4 billion including debt, Reuters reported Friday. Blackstone shares fell 0.3%.
