Tsingtao Brewery's (HKG:0168, SHA:600600) unit, Tsingtao Brewery Finance, plans to enter the securities investment business, according to a Shanghai Stock Exchange filing on Tuesday.
The total balance of the business will not exceed 3.7 billion yuan and will not exceed 70% of the net capital of Tsingtao Brewery Finance.
The investment plan for securities shall be valid for 12 months after board approval, the Chinese brewery said.
Tsingtao Brewery's Hong Kong-listed shares rose less than 2% in recent trade.
