HCL Technologies (NSE:HCLTECH, BOM:532281) has secured a contract of an undisclosed amount from telecom services Vodafone Idea (NSE:IDEA, BOM:532822), to improve its 4G and 5G networks, according to a Tuesday filing to the stock exchanges.
Under the contract, Vodafone Idea is now using HCL Augmented Network Automation (ANA), which is a multivendor self-optimizing network platform, to manage its Ericsson and Samsung networks.
The HCL ANA platform also enables the telecom company to manage and automate its network independently, reducing
dependency on OEM-specific features and applications.
Shares of the company were over 8% in recent trade.
