智通财经获悉，英国石油公司(BP.US)首席执行官Murray Auchincloss周四告诉员工，为了降低成本，公司将裁减4700个正式工和3000个合同工职位。Auchincloss在给英国石油公司员工的一封电子邮件中写道：“我理解并认识到，这给每个可能面临工作风险的人带来了不确定性，也会对同事和团队产生影响。”
此前，英国石油预计Q4业绩将承压。英国石油周二表示，第四季度业绩将受到石油和天然气产量下降、炼油利润和交易的影响。
在交易更新中，英国石油表示，预计第四季度上游产量将低于第三季度报告的240万桶油当量/天。英国石油表示，本季度布伦特原油平均价格为74.73美元/桶，低于第三季度的80.34美元/桶，而其炼油市场平均利润率降至13.10美元/桶，比上一季度下降了近3.5美元/桶。
该公司还表示，炼油利润率的下降以及周转和维护活动的影响，将导致利润环比下降多达3亿美元，石油生产和运营部门的利润将进一步减少2亿至4亿美元。
