1 月 20 日消息，高通在 2023 年底推出了 XPAN 技术，使无线音频不再仅仅依赖蓝牙，而是可以通过 Wi-Fi 进行传输。公司当时表示，首款搭载这一技术的无线耳机将在 2024 年上市，但在过去一整年之间，都没有关于这一新技术的产品的相关消息。
外媒 Android Authority 今日就此事向高通咨询，得到了正面回复：这些产品可能很快就会与我们见面。“我们很高兴与几家客户合作，推动首批 XPAN 设备的上市，这些产品将在不久后宣布。”
据IT之家了解，XPAN（扩展个人区域网络）技术使无线音频可以通过 Wi-Fi 进行传输。高通指出，Wi-Fi 的传输距离远远超过蓝牙，这意味着当用户佩戴耳机时，即使手机或平板在另一个房间，仍然能够轻松连接。此外，XPAN 还能通过 Wi-Fi 传输无损的 24 位 96kHz 音频，并且功耗与现有的蓝牙 96kHz 有损标准相当。高通还特别强调，XPAN 不需要在高音质和低延迟之间做出妥协，尤其对游戏玩家非常有吸引力。
支持 XPAN 的耳机能够根据需要在 Wi-Fi 和蓝牙之间切换，因此当设备近距离放置时，可以使用蓝牙传输较低质量的音频。若想要使用 XPAN 技术，耳机需要配备高通骁龙 S7 Pro 芯片，而配对的手机或平板也需要搭载骁龙芯片（目前尚不知晓是否需要特定型号）。另外，设备必须连接到同一 Wi-Fi 网络。
